Back Office system

The most important functions performed by the Market program in regard of the Back Office - store logistics facilities, are the following:

  • Full support for all the documents required in the store –  financial and inventory, related to the turnover of goods, the internal and cash documents.
  • Comprehensive settlement of the store – covering quantities and value of goods – at their purchase prices (according to FIFO or weighted average purchase price) and at retail prices.
  • Full management –  related to the goods range, the list of suppliers, contracts with suppliers, the sales prices, promotions and sales support actions, users and user rights (to the level of each operation), forms of payment.
  • Support for "attributes of the goods" – the ability to define any attributes and their values, also to assign attributes to the goods (e.g. the goods from the "TV" group may be defined with attributes: "Technology", "Screen size", "Number of HDMI inputs "). Attributes can take editable values or may be entered regularly or at one time by the user.
  • Recording and storing in the database: documents (recorded or generated by users and generated automatically by the program), the sales history - the sales of each item on each day (quantity, average sales price, average purchase price – broken down into supplies from which came the sold amount), the history of inventory at the end of each day (for each item (quantity and value), the history of receipts - both headers (date, time, POS, cashier, transaction numbers, total value, used form of payment, used loyalty card number) and entries on receipt (quantity, price at which items were sold, including discounts; catalogue sales price at time of sale), sales data according to hours of each day (the number and value of transactions in every hour), information on the number of customers for each assortment group in every hour.
  • Mechanism to support the generation of orders or their full automation, including suggestions concerning goods to order and their quantities - based on the goods parameters (defined centrally or locally), defined for a given product ordering algorithm, the current stock, the current pace of sales and the expected date of delivery. It is possible to create the order using both a desktop computer and a portable data terminal.
  • Support for supply delivery performed with a portable data terminal; based on the order to which the shipment was made; or on the basis of electronic version of delivery documents received from the distribution center (with the ability to verify the quantity of goods on individual pallets / in containers).

  • Verification of prices on labels done with the use of a portable data terminal capable of defining labels to print
  • Mechanism to support classes of goods – by assigning the item to a particular class, it allows you to define which data of a given product can be modified in the store (by an authorized user), and which can be modified only from the level of the central system that manages the chain of stores.
  • Support for inventory in different variants –  overall or partial (for the selected range). It gives the possibility to define several and separate inventories at the same time (the range of goods can not overlap), as well as the ability to record documents (including the warehouse), and continue the sales after defining inventory in the program, and before its settlement. 
  • Support for composite goods, i.e. sets of goods of a certain recipe, and automatic transfers of goods resulting in components (type "set").
  • Registering any changes in the program database made by users (concerning, e.g. the goods data, prices).
  • Verification of conformity of invoices with documents regarding receipt and issue of goods, reporting discrepancies in the delivery (between the order, the supply and the invoice), the possibility to generate a request to issue the correcting invoice.
  • Competitive price analysis module.
  • Label printing module – with the possibility to define many types of labels, assigning the types and number of labels for each item (e.g. different labels for goods on the shelves, other for those on displays or in the basket). Cooperation with the system of electronic labels - SES.
  • Possibility to print labels with bar codes, product name and price, self-adhesive (used e.g. for clothes).
  • Implemented mechanisms related to export and import of data – to and from external systems.
  • Enhanced reporting and analysis module with the possibility to define reports by users and to save the reports’ templates.
  • Instant (online) flow of information with the fully integrated Front Office.
  • Ability to cooperate with external systems installed in the store – the system of scales (labeling scales and packaging machines), the system of electronic labels, price checkers.
  • Enhanced customers shopping bonus mechanism – the bonus depends on purchases, and may take various forms (discounts, products free of charge, special offers, messages, printouts, loyalty points for loyalty cards).
  • Support for multi-price products, e.g. cigarettes or the press, with the same barcode but with different sales prices printed on each piece. After scanning the product, the POS program (similarly to the use of portable data terminal for inventory) asks you to select the sales price of the item from the list of active prices for the given index.
