We produce software and deliver complete IT solutions to the largest retail chains. Our team consists of over 450 experts. For 25 years, we have been creating software supporting all aspects of retail chains’ operations, including cash register systems, logistics backend systems, loyalty systems, mobile apps, electronic payment processing, Big Data solutions and central management systems in charge of thousands of stores.

Our systems process over a billion card payments and generate nearly 3 billion receipts a year.

Retail evolves dynamically in terms of process automation, concerning especially customer service. Self-checkout kiosks and self-scanning mobile apps can be found in an increasing number of stores, some of which are our clients’. Retail chains are developing cashier-less store solutions; Pingo Doce &GO store in Lisbon using Forcom’s solutions for example (see our website).

Being aware of a growing demand for automation of everyday retail processes, we are creating a team, whose task will be to develop artificial intelligence solutions focused on mobile robotics and image analysis.

We are looking for candidates for the following position located at our headquarters in Poznań:

Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence Software Developer

Expected qualifications:

• Strong competence in programming in C++ or Python. At least one year experience programming in C++ (including non-commercial projects) or two years experience programming in C#/Java/Python,

• Experience in working with Linux,

• Willingness to practice object-oriented programming with the use of design patterns and unit tests,

• Creativity and passion for programming,

• Working proficiency in English,

• Familiarity with version control systems, e.g. Git.

Preferred qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in image processing, computer vision, artificial intelligence and/or

• Hands-on experience in robot localization, mapping, SLAM, motion planning and implementation thereof.

Extra qualifications:

• Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System),

• Knowledge of robotic simulation environments: Gazebo / V-REP,

• Experience in image analysis, especially object recognition / classification,

• Experience in deep learning, familiarity with Tensorflow or alternative frameworks.
